It all started in 2017 with coffee and a conversation where I hosted my first "coffee shop meet-up". As a mechanical engineer and mentor for high school robotics students, I realized I needed to set aside time outside of building robots to really connect with my students, especially the girls on my team.

Having the space to really open up about my challenges and struggles revealed new ways for me to help the youth in my community, particularly, girls in STEM struggling with perfectionism, impostor syndrome and self doubt. I started STEM Savvy Brew as a tribute to my students and created this new avenue for changing lives.
